Firstly...

Okay, for my veeeeeeeeery first post, something I'm proud of...
I'm a nerd. It's true. (Hah, maybe this wasn't a good one to start out on. BEAR WITH ME!) And Kingdom Hearts, despite its weird combination of battle and disney characters, is something I still can't get over. It's... amazing. So... I challenged myself to something I'd never tried before: Accurately reproducing an image... while still making it my own, somehow. And let me tell you, this one was awful. The sky was done with a digital airbrush and extreme, extensive applying of the dodge tool via Corel Painter Essentials 4. YES, it is hand-done... while being digital. I used a pen tablet, but... I did use a line tool for the buildings (my hand isn't THAT steady). And after several layers and attempts... I couldn't figure out the fire. It took approx. six hours to complete, all with extensive re-checking of the source image... I tried to make even the bricks the same. It's not perfect, (I'm only human,) and there's one or two off spots, but... all in all, I love how it turned out.

Prepare to be Inked

Ah, this is the painful part. The part where you speak about the blog, what it says, what it will be. Here, it's fairly simple: This is a blog about art.
Art. Writing. My own, and, if amazing enough, others. It's a place that, in it's growth, I hope to turn into somewhere where little art and writer nobodies like me can have a chance to shine.
Really, that's all there is to it.
Shall we begin?
